Our Philosophy

M.B.R.A.G. Inc. previously C.L.G.M. Association and R.A.P. Inc evolved out of necessity.  During a period of seemingly, more than vexatious, actions by the now defunct Caboolture Shire Council [C.S.C.], a group of like-minded friends and Business Associates kept hearing the same message during conversations, meetings and personal gatherings from various Ratepayers and concerned men and woman.

This message was constantly similar or the same:  The mischievous behaviour and malicious complaints from and about the Caboolture Shire Council:- i.e. New owners of rateable property in the Shire were being illegally unlawfully and vexatiously pursued by the C.S.C. right up to the Magistrates Court for alleged Unapproved structures and for breaches of enforcement notices under the Intergrated Planning Act [I.P.A.] resulting in fines up to [$10,000] ten thousand dollars but not less than [$3,000] three thousand dollars plus costs for each alleged breach. 

This disgraceful action was continued even thought the New Ratepayers could show the C.S.C. that there may have been existing approval and moreover, the C.S.C. had provided, prior to the new purchase, that there were no outstanding requisitions on the property.

Our ‘Watchdog’ Group, using the outside contacts combined a network of life experience, knowledge of the I.P.A. by some members together with advice by our Legal Professionals, the building knowledge and practical experience of our Member Building Certifiers and Licenced Building Contractors put together an action plan to assist these poor VICTIMS of bureaucratic bullying with great success. 

To this day, with the New Mayor overseeing the transition to the Moreton Bay District Regional Council, we are of the opinion this troublesome behaviour is on the wane.  However, we are alert to any discrepancies and as expected in the future, new deceitful practices and devious action by some public servant officers.  

This will be ‘par for the course’ as the ingrained, born to rule attitude is consistent within this culture.
